"Don't bother fighting that piece of foxdung, it'll turn you into crowfood," Silverkit yelped.

"We can't just outrun it!" She shouted at Silverkit. The badger was focusing on the three kits completely. "We'll have to confuse it!"

Blackkit ran around in circles. The badger got dizzy following him. "RUN!!!"

"How can we? It's so strong! If I have known this badger thing or whatever you call it-------

The badger slammed into Silverkit.

"No, we can't leave you!" Goldkit yelped.

"Stupid piece of mousedung," Silverkit said sinking her teeth in the badgers kneck area. That wasn't enough. The badger was angrier than ever.

Helplessly, Goldkit watched the badger slam into Silverkit's small grey body. "We have to split up! We'll go in opposite directions! The badger will follow one of us, the others go for help!"

"We can't!" Silverkit yowled. Silverkit pounced on the badger. It leeped back. "Come on; we may be able to outrun it. If we stay we'll turn into crowfood."

"I ahve an idea! Run around in circles. he'll get dizzy!"

"Fine!" She began running around in circles around the fierce badger. The badger gradually became dizzy....

Silverkit did the same.

Eventually the badger got dizzy. "Run. NOW!"

Blackkit ran as fast as he can. "What if we're in trouble for getting out of the camp?"

"I don't care at this point," Silver called, "I'm more worried about outrunning this badger."

They got back to camp. And the first person that was there was Darkheart, "WE LOOKED ALL OVER FOR YOU? WHAT IN STARCLAN WERE YOU DOING?!" Blackkit didn't answer. He shuddered.

Goldkit panted, "I don't know... What happens if the badger follows us?" She fretted and added, "We have to tell Moonstar about the badger, don't we?" She gulped, she wasn't too happy about the idea of telling Moonstar that she went out of camp without permission to run after a badger. For the first time, she was actually afraid that she wasn't going to be an apprentice. "Do you think they'll, you know, not allow us to be apprentices?"

"That's true. We did attract a badger..."

They got back to camp. And the first person that was there was Darkheart, "WE LOOKED ALL OVER FOR YOU? WHAT IN STARCLAN WERE YOU DOING?!" Blackkit didn't answer. He shuddered.

Goldkit just looked at the ground. "Um, we have to talk to Moonstar, actually...." She said, hoping that he wouldn't ask any questions.

Could he stop me from becoming an apprentice? Goldkit thought.

Silverkit looked at the ground.

"Your not going anywhere, until I look at those wounds..." Greyflower stalked up to Darkheart.

"Look at them, they have bite marks all over them...." Greyflower growled.

Darkheart walked away. "You guys would've became apprentices in a quarter moon. You've ruined your chances." Darkheart walked into the warriors den.

Blackkit sighed. "He's probably lying, let's go to Moonstar now."

Wildbite, the medicine cat went to where the kits were. "What happened to you guys? Come to my den now. I'll fix this. Don't worry, you can tell Moonstar later."
