Silverkit sighed and continued to follow.

"Exactly!" She agreed.

"You know those badgers?" Silverkit exclaimed, "why don't we catch one of those and bring it back to camp; that will show we aren't kits anymore."

Blackkit's legs were short. "Hey! Let me catch up! How does badger taste like?"

"Yup! Well, come on.... None of the warriors are around and Greyflower is busy! Let's go!" Goldkit raced out of the camp.

Silverkit followed her. "Do you know where we can find a badger's den?"

Goldkit stared at her, puzzled. "I thought you knew! How am I supposed to know? Am I a badger?"

"Once Greyflower took me into the forest....she showed me a den, and told me not to go into it. I'm not sure if the den belongs to a badger though,"

"Hey! Remember Moonstar saw a badger near Moonpool? Let's go there!"

"Why didn't you say that before, mouse-brain?" She teased, smiling. "I wonder why she never showed me it..." She mumbled sadly, her smile fading.

When we come back with a badger, it'll be great! The whole Clan will be so happy! Goldkit thought.

Silverkit ran ahead. Silverkit let out a cry, "Please help me!"

The badger sank it's teeth in Silverkit's hindleg. Silverkit let out another yelp.

Silverkit tried to defend herself, but she was too weak.

Blackkit screamed for help. He tried to fight off the badger, and te badger started to bite him. "AAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

Goldkit ran after her. "Silverkit, you're such a----"

She stopped talking, once the badger came into view. It was much larger than she expected.

"Great StarClan!"

"Run, NOW!" Silverkit yowled. She headed toward the bushes.

Goldkit panicked and stood frozen in her place.
